Case Against Continental and Consulting Company Plaster & Wald Set for Trial – *Updated*
A North Dakota Judge has set an injured Cyclone Drilling employee’s case against Continental Resources and their consulting company, Plaster & Wald, for trial on September 22, 2014. Most oil and gas injury and burn cases filed in North Dakota over the years have been settled. In this case, the worker represented by Cole, Easley, Sciba & Williams partners Justin L. Williams and Will Sciba and Pagel Weikum partner Jeff Weikum has not been able to resolve his and his wife’s claim. Williams said he believes a jury in North Dakota will provide his client with damages that are justified by the type severe burns the client received in a blow-out. Williams further contends the blow-out was preventable if Continental and their consultant had acted properly. Check back later this year for the results of the case.
